Hello blues fans thank you for visiting the Freddie King Blues Foundation website. I am the daughter of the Blues legend Freddie King and I am proud of my father legacy. I started this foundation with the intention to raise  awareness of my father's contribution and influence to blues music and musicians worldwide. This foundation is self supported. I do not receive endowments or grants. I  welcome donations but I do not actively seek  donations. I promote blues shows to fund the foundation. In the beginning I had four goals, Raise funds for a Freddie King statue to be erected in Dallas, Texas or his birth place Gilmer TX,

I ask that the local blues fans  support the foundation events... purchase a ticket. 

There is a lot of politics involved in securing a location to erect the statue. I am in communication with city of Dallas and Gilmer .......  this will take a little time, but this goal will become reality.

The annual Freddie King Blues fest  showcase international blues icons of our time ( happy to report our 5th year of success).

Promote and booking shows at locals blues venues creating a good pay day for local musicians,
The foundation pay out for 2007 to local musicians was  $40,000.00
Provide assistance to local musicians,
The  foundation provided for 2006 and 2007 $1500.00
